Young Achievers in Ultimate

Congratulations to Riah Mildenhall who was recently awarded a 2011 Auckland University Blues Award.

“The Blues awards are considered New Zealand’s most prestigious sports awards for university students, recognising an athlete’s commitment and excellence to their sport as well as to their studies. The strict eligibility criteria for the award includes passing national qualifying standards for the relevant sport as well as passing a minimum number of academic classes.”

Also in awards news, Grayson Lee from Whangarei was the recipient of the ASB Northland Secondary Schools Sports Award for Ultimate, with Emily Camuso named runner-up. The aim of the awards “was to reward and recognise students who have performed with distinction in their sport”
